Neat video

and idea—fun to watch for sure. As a piece of communication for gum, a flop. But it was cool they paid for his travels!

not much impressed

what the hell is stride paying JWT for? Slapping a logo on user created content, and shelling out money for Matt to travel is not impressive to me. Granted they also shelled out money to purchase a higher quality version of the song Matt used in his original video.

Gum lasts long, yes we know, but it's a stretch…how bout you fund somebodies ridiculous long lasting education fund instead of sending a man who can already afford to travel all around the world and do an entertainign jig, to travel around the world for free again and jig some more?

cool

I like the film. The fact that it's for a gum gets sort of lost.

the soft touch

stride's approach here just might backfire but, I really think they are relying on viewers to see how cool Matt's journey is, and then appreciate Stride. I for one, will definitely pick up Stride next time instead of Dentyne or Eclipse or whatever and try it out.

where's the gum?

I think its orginal, and it will bring good karma, and its a good way to use the creativity of consumers instead of agencies . Great. But where is the gum in all this? It does not compel me to buy Stride gum.

burn dude

burning man is like having all the countries that this guy went to, all come to this one place in the desert, and just dancing for a week. you know, just going all out with your balls out . . .

Brilliant

What a great idea. Simple and brilliant. What's especially great about it is that Stride didn't forcibly insert themselves into the piece. Can I call this honest sponsorship? Maybe.

Shimmy.

This is the best ad for dancing I've ever seen.

long lasting?

apparently, Stride prides itself on being the "ridiculously long lasting gum" so I think the point is, this guy matt is dancing for a ridiculously long amount of time? Its a funny company, they have a weird contest on the website where people suggest ways of doing things for a very long time, while chewing gum maybe? it's a stretch I suppose, but still, soft touch on the sponsorship is very nice.

Wow, pretty much

I have no idea how this is supposed to sell me gum, but man, I envy this guy. And it is very visually interesting and has beautiful music.

lucky

bastard.
Great job, funny, refreshing, simple.
Good work also to Stride for sponsoring him.

money

i'm always for giving ad dollars to random people instead of producers. stride didn't make him sell his soul, just do the the same thing he was doing, but on their dollar. as corny as it sounds, i really think this does a good job of showing people that there are amazing places out there (forget the gum), and to get off their obese, american, confederate flag wearing asses.
