i agree. i think that this ad is effective because it is reminding us of our values and how although we are going through a hard recession we need those "basics" to strive - don't loose focus on the important things.

good ads but, my first thought was that of the capatalism aspect... other than that, I like the ad

absolutely wonderful. this ad works because it does not focus on allstate's competitors or the benefits of using allstate. it looks beyond these strategies to focus on the heart of the consumer. "it's not about what it's about" as my professor would say. everyone has their version of basics to go back to, and they are comforting and good. we just sometimes forget, and allstate can help take us back to them.
