Come on, y'all. McCain and Obama can't exactly tell the truth, which is that both of them are committed to maintaining the status quo, only in different ways.
They both just have different band-aid approaches to a problem that needs intensive surgery, and they will both make the problem worse by addressing the symptoms instead of the causes.
Besides, the president doesn't run the money system; the Federal Reserve does. And the Fed does whatever the hell it wants, because it's a private entity with only partial government oversight.
Oh, sorry I was talking about reality. Excuse me.
So, hmm: not enough gas means price goes up. Drill for oil and have more gas: price lowers. Brilliant!
(Whether this is true or not is irrelevant; the fact is people understand that simple cause and effect and so that's what's in the ads.)
